Day 1:

Depart at 07h30 from departure point as arranged and travel via Witbank and Middelburg past Belfast to Machadodorp from here we descend through the old ZASM tunnel to Waterval Onder and travel through lovely man-made forests along the Crocodile valley to Nelspruit. Pass White River to Hazyview to Newington Gate, entrance to the Sabi Sands Private Game Reserve. We will take to your luxury lodge on the banks of the Sand river where you will arrive in time for lunch. After lunch relax before refrehments are served. Then it is time to start the game drive with your ranger and tracker to find the "Big Five" and enjoy the bush in open vehicles. A large variety of small and larger antelope are found here besides the big five such as zebra, wildebeest, impala, warthog and many more. Enjoy sundowner drinks and snacks while taking in the beauty of a classic African sunset. Return to the lodge after dark for a get together in the Warthog Wallow bar to reminisce about excitement of the safari. Pop into the wine cellar to select your wine for dinner which is served in the open-air boma around a campfire. Enjoy a nightcap around the fire before you are escorted back to your chalet distance.

Day2:

Wake-up call is at 05h30 and tea and coffee with light snacks are served on the patio at 06h00. The fresh dawn air brings with it the promise of another adventurous safari and possible a glimpse of cheetah and wild dog. At 09h00 return to the lodge for a hearty breakfast served on the patio. After breakfast at 10h30 you may join the bush walk which focuses on the ecology, geology and flora of the area. For those who prefer a more relaxing alternative, game and bird viewing from the River deck is an option. Join the other guests on the lodge patio for a drink before lunch . An array of culinary delights await you at the lunch buffet, served under the Jackalberry Tree on the lawn. Spend the afternoon at leisure next to the pool or at the gym or have an afternoon siesta. An African drum beat announces tea and refreshments on the patio before we start on our last afternoon/evening game drive. Your ranger and tracker will put their skills to the test to find you the legendary "Big Five" and other fascinating wildlife as well as birdlife like the fish eagle, yellow-billed kite and gymnogene. Sundowners are served in the bush just before sunset. After dark it is possible to see porcupine, civet and white-tailed mongoose as well as the interesting birds that are active at night like the spotted eagle-owl and fiery-necked night jar. Return to the lodge and meet for drinks in the Warthog Wallow with your new friends before dinner. A large appetite is required for the sumptuous, typically South African dinner served in the open-air boma around the campfire. Venison is always included on the dinner menu and the full menu will ensure that you do not go hungry. Enjoy a final night-cap around the fire before you retire to bed.

Day3:

You have your normal wake-up call at 05h30 if you so wish or you can relax in bed before breakfast. After refreshments have been enjoyed on the patio depart on your final game drive this morning.
